Another one bites the dust due to the writers strike.
Variety is reporting that production on
Castlevania has been halted. The $40 million production, based off the popular Konami video game, was shut down because script work was needed and wasn't possible because of the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike.
The film, directed by Sylvain White (
Stomp the Yard) was set to lens in South Africa this coming April.
The trade also reported that another film,
Ironbow, a biopic of the legendary William Tell, was also stopped due to script/strike issues.
