Family Guy: The Movie Happening Within The Next Year

Source:  TV Week
TV Week's Josef Adalian recently spoke with Seth MacFarlane about his upcoming Family Guy spin-off The Cleveland Show, and MacFarlane revealed that Family Guy: The Movie would be going into production within the next year.

MacFarlane stated, "We want to do it. And it is time. In the past six months we have seriously started talking about it. And my hope is that we will get it going within the next year. Doing the show is a seven-day a week process, so I don't know how we will squeeze in a movie. But we will figure it out. I have an idea about what it will be. It is definitely something you wouldn't be able to do on the show. That's the only reason to do a movie." Asked if there would be nudity and obscenities, Seth said, "Oh, yeah!"

About upcoming episodes of the show, Macfarlane said that, "Brian will date a fifty year old woman, Stewie and Brian go to Russia with Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase, and Lois discovers that her heritage isn't what she thought it was." You can look for Family Guy to return to Fox this fall with all new episodes.

im sure its no coincidence that all my family guy and futrama dvds are next to each on the shelf, theyre probably my 2 favorite cartoons.

oh no wait, i remember why theyre next to each other on the shelf, because the dvds are alphabetical.

der.

actually i think futurama and the boondocks are my 2 favorite cartoons, but the simpsons and family guy are a close 3rd and 4th.

Don't forget it went to spelling incorrectly lol I'm to blame moviebuff. I figured it would be alright to bring up a live action futurama movie since i was keeping it in the cartoon genre ha

Anyway... STEWIE ROCKS! And some day he WILL rule the world. hahahahaha

of course, that was the old me.
you know, i mean, im not a dick anymore... usually.

Well, it's about time they make a film on this. "Family Guy" is too great and funny of a TV show to be left off the big silver screen.

Ya, i guess ur right err. I was just thinkin bout not having too many cgi characters in the movie since i've been saying it would be good live action lol Bender would have to be cgi, and nibbler, too. But ya, the guy has made zoidberg a fav, so it would be a slap in the face
  (Delete)
July 17th, 2008 10:39am
totally.
but i think ziodberg would be more effective as cgi character, with billy west maintaining that role.

i think it might be insulting to billy west if they made a movie and cut him out of it entirely, and billy west is one of my life long heroes, given all the hours of entertainment that guy has given me, as stimpy, and his various roles in other cartoons, and then for all the great work hes done for futurama.

Fry- seth green
Leela- Jessica Biel
Bender- cgi w/ same voice actor
Amy- Vannessa Hudgens
Zoidberg- robin williams in a good suit
Hermes- Anthony Anderson

That's just for starters

why would hermes wear a rubber suit?
hes just a fat jamaican dude, im pretty sure theres a couple fat black guys roaming the streets of hollywood who can do a decent jamaican accent.

and i concur "the tick" (with patrick warburton) was highly under-rated.

July 17th, 2008 9:52am
Well THE VISIONARY i put south park as an example (something over the top) i just think that u should leave wats good as that, why take the chance in fuckin something up that good right now, in my opinion they should leave it as it is
