The Simple Life star also said she visited L.A. Children's Hospital's cancer ward, and that she is very excited about working with major charities around the world. In this case, hope Paris serves as an example to other wayward starlets.

Also bombarded by the paparazzi was the equally gorgeous Brooke Burns, who recently fractured a bone in her neck in a diving accident. The former Baywatch babe is thrilled there is no permanent damage, and sympathizes with the cause.

Producer Gary Scott Thompson (Las Vegas) was honored, along with Ricky James, who was injured in 2005, while competing in an Amateur National Motorcross event in Texas. Although now paraplegic, he epitomizes the Life Rolls On philosophy, and stresses there is hope for young people who are afflicted with spinal cord injury.

Representing the new generation was 14-year-old guitarist and composer Tim Callobre, who won the hearts of the audience with a standing ovation.
