Nice to note that
Paris Hilton has kept her word when she said she wanted to involve herself in charity work. She appeared graciously at the recent "Night by the Ocean" fundraiser at the Beverly Hills Hotel, which raises money for kids with spinal cord injuries. She is seen posing prettily with her pal,
Jesse Billauer, a former pro-surfer who is now paralyzed. The blond beauty also bid and won $17,500. Surfing lesson with Billauer and
Adam Sandler. The Simple Life star also said she visited L.A. Children's Hospital's cancer ward, and that she is very excited about working with major charities around the world. In this case, hope Paris serves as an example to other wayward starlets.

Also bombarded by the paparazzi was the equally gorgeous
Brooke Burns, who recently fractured a bone in her neck in a diving accident. The former Baywatch babe is thrilled there is no permanent damage, and sympathizes with the cause.

Producer
Gary Scott Thompson (Las Vegas) was honored, along with
Ricky James, who was injured in 2005, while competing in an Amateur National Motorcross event in Texas. Although now paraplegic, he epitomizes the Life Rolls On philosophy, and stresses there is hope for young people who are afflicted with spinal cord injury.
