The Jerry Springer Show's Steve Wilkos Gets His Own Syndicated Talk Show

Source:  NBC Universal Television
NBC Universal Television Distribution's new nationally syndicated series The Steve Wilkos Show debuts September 10th with a week of riveting shows. Wilkos is sticking up for people who need help and doling out his own version of justice in his new one-hour daily talk show.

In the premiere week, Wilkos has a one-on-one interview with Jack McClellan, the self-admitted pedophile, who has been making headlines across the country. In an exclusive interview with McClellan, Wilkos confronts him about his aberrant behavior and lifestyle.

Also during the show's first week, Wilkos visits a Michigan prison for an exclusive interview with a woman convicted of offering her seven year-old daughter for sex and pornography. Watch as Wilkos, the father of two small children faces off with this woman.

Additional episodes coming up on The Steve Wilkos Show include a father of three children who abandoned his family. Wilkos has harsh words for this 'deadbeat dad.' On another compelling episode, Wilkos takes on a mother who ignored her three daughters in favor of continuing her drug addiction.

Drawing on experience from his days in the military and in law enforcement, Wilkos takes the 'protect and serve' approach to his daily show, responding to the problems of his guests as he would respond to a 911 call. During each episode, Wilkos brings his street credibility and no-nonsense style to those in need, and standing up to people who are doing wrong.

A native of Chicago, Wilkos was formally the head of security on The Jerry Springer Show for the past 14 years. Prior to his work on television, Wilkos served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps before joining the Chicago Police Department. For almost 12 years, he kept the streets of Chicago's volatile 14th District (Shakespeare) safe, while moonlighting during his off hours on The Jerry Springer Show. Wilkos retired from the police force in 2001 and now devotes himself full time to his family and his new show.

The Steve Wilkos Show is taped in front of a live studio audience at WMAQ-TV Chicago.
