Neil Marshall to Direct Predators?

Source:  Bloody-Disgusting
Neil Marshall rumored to director PredatorsBloody-Disgusting just got a very interesting piece of news. It seems that 20th Century Fox is very close to inking a deal with Neil Marshall (The Descent) to direct the Predators reboot being produced by Robert Rodriguez via his Trouble Maker Studios.

There has been no official announcement from the studio as of yet.

Predators is set to be released July 9, 2010.

RODREGUIEZ will do more than simply produce, especially if his Studio is doing this film...so this will be bad!

Marshall did a good job with DOOMSDAY, but DECENT was only about mood nothing more!

unfortunately this will share the same tombstone as AVP!

There goes Newkill again bashing another movie.

Marshall has made good movies, and not only does he pay homage to his favourite movies but he always tries to do something different. and succeeds! Rodriguez+Marshall+Predators=fucking awesome idea!

FIRST of all, I am looking forward to this seems fun and I like RR so, I think it'll be a good flick.

SECOND, I love how Newkill got offended about me saying the stupidity on here shocks me, when I didn't even call his name, so he has made a come back to defend hisself because, you guessed it, he feels stupid. Also, if he didn't feel offended why reply to me? Oh, that's right, he's a professional troller.

*NOTE* I didn't call Newkill stupid, he did it for me.

Sorry bud you asked for it.

Ooooo no i dont think this is a stand-alone film.
According to the last article it stated

"Rodriguez, does not see Predators as a remake or a reboot, but as a sequel to the original film"

That little piece of information states that its a remake to Predator 2, well that's how i intrepretate that piece of information any way.

I thought it wasn't a remake just a stand alone film between 1 and 2, the second one was okay but not great. I've heard about the Descent but have never watched it.

Descent was ok, but was just a quick story ripe off of the Cave to make money off of. I do hope Rod comes back for it. But since he said he wasnt going to wait, i dont thing he will end up doing it. Most studio's steal hype ideas of rebooting films from directors ect, and reboot with someone eles. example would be the Freddy vs Jason. Wes Craven spoke on how he wanted to write and mabey direct it it since new line owned both characters finialy, then out of no where they get someone eles to do it.

LOL Messenger i couldn't agree with you more.

Thanks for the backup, Killah, but trust me arguing with Remy or the majority of the unintellectuals on this site aint worth it.
But heck you gotta love the haters, LOL.

I agree with the Newkill on the whole medieval theme, it did take it too far, but come on you gotta admit the action sequences were pretty fucking awesome for a 50 million dollar budget.

Descent wasn't that bad, more suspenseful and clausthophobic horror, but damn the screaming in that film really pissed me off

wtf? i thought rodriguez said he wanted to direct since it was his idea to reboot? Damn, it most likely won't be as good now...especially since "The Descent" was a forgetful film.

Then they had the nerve to make a second one. So she accompanies a rescue team back to the cave. They didn't even take guns, because they think she killed them all. And what do you know? Those Gollum fuckers start taking them out. What a great story. Not!!!

The Descent was a piece of trash. When i first saw it, i thought it was going to be a horror movie, instead it became a national geographic episode of how to climb fucking rocks and stay calm in closed in areas. I hate those type of movies.

i liked the descent but i never saw doomsday because i dont care for that chick in the lead role.

anyway i like the predators despite their similarities to klingons with vagina mouths.

Doomsday was pretty good until they got to the Medieval Time period scene of the movie. That just took me out of it. I don't even care about this shit anymore. Fuck Robert Rodriguez.

DOOMSDAY had more style than alot of big budget movies. Overall a well done movie.

This has a chance, but it's slim.

Thios will never happen...
I know and met Marshall and been on set his new film 'Centaurion,' He loves Predator, i do not see this happening.

But if it does then this will be the best predator installment ever, if you wanna see what Marshall can do with like 50 million check out thr awesome sci-fi apocalyptic action flick called 'Doomsday'

But i guess we have to wait if he is doing this, I'm now amped, but i find it hard to believe, since Marshall is more of a original auteur of film, not someone thats uses pre-existing source material.
