The CW Network is giving some early pickup presents for some of its big series. According to
The Hollywood Reporter, CW has handed renewals for six of its series -
Smallville,
Supernatural,
Gossip Girl,
One Tree Hill,
90210 and the reality program
America's Next Top Model.
"As we continue to build The CW Network as a destination for young women, these six shows have clearly contributed to strengthening our schedule and our brand identity," the CW entertainment president Dawn Ostroff said.
The new CW series
Privileged still remains in doubt for a pickup as of this time.

The creator of "Supernatural" (Eric Kripke) had already planned to make Season 5 the end of the series. So, the decision would have nothing to do with how "hot" it is. It's just that the overall story arc would take five years to be told.
I can't wait to see what Kripke has in mind for the last season.
