Ashley Tisdale has hooked her star wagon to the United Artists remake of the 1989 film Teen Witch. According to Variety, she has also signed a deal with FremantleMedia North America to produce several different projects.

The company will look for starring vehicles that they can develop with Tisdale in mind. She will most likely star in one of their upcoming TV shows first. As for Teen Witch, the actress will play an unpopular high schooler that discovers she is the descendant of witches, and that she possesses certain witchy powers.

While a script has not been written for the remake, it will most likely be ready for theaters next year.
