It seems that the new Terminator franchise is getting a new sound. According to
MTV Movies Blog, Danny Elfman has come aboard to compose the score for
Terminator Salvation.
The site caught up with Elfman at the Critics Choice Awards and, while he did say that the original theme by Brad Fiedel hasn't been set in place yet, he did say there was a possibility for its inclusion in the film.
"I think if it comes up and it seems appropriate, we will [use it]," Elman said. "And if it doesn't, we [won't]. I never really know what to expect when I begin other than just kind of get into it and have fun. Especially a movie like "T4" - just have fun. So that's what I intend to do."
The composer only had one word to describe the film, after recently seeing a screening of
Terminator Salvation: "Exciting."
Terminator Salvation is set for release on May 22.

Elfman though, is a master. Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, Men In Black....the list goes so deep it's not even funny. Let's not forget Psycho, Red Dragon, Darkman, The Spider-man movies, Mission: Impossible...!!!
BUT NOTHING AGAINST Danny, But I really think the studios behind the new "Terminator" film should bring back the guy who scored for the original "Terminator" film.... Brad Fiedel, he also did the score for "Terminator 2: Judgment Day"!!
So he knows what he is doing and familiar with the material!
I just can't wait until you all see how much Bale ISNT in this movie. He's got maybe 15 minutes in it. Someone has a script. :)
it is isn't it
Exactly...Hans Zimmer...
hans Zimmer maybe
not danny elfman
he did the theme to The Simpsons for god sake
lol I hate danny elfman
As someone who doesn't avidly follow the Terminator series, and who's only seen each film once or twice, I could care less if the incorporate the Terminator theme. If it fits, put it in. If it doesn't, don't stretch it.
