The Tenth Circle Set to Premiere on Lifetime on June 28th

Following the phenomenal success of Lifetime's highly-rated The Memory Keeper's Daughter, also adapted from a best-selling novel, comes the highly-anticipated Lifetime Original Movie, The Tenth Circle Starring Kelly Preston (Jerry Maguire, What a Girl Wants), Ron Eldard (House of Sand and Fog) and Britt Robertson (Dan In Real Life), The Tenth Circle is based on the New York Times best-selling novel of the same name by renowned author Jodi Picoult. Part mystery, part thriller The Tenth Circle examines the fragile and mysterious bonds that hold a family together and the dark depths parents will go to in order to protect their child. The Tenth Circle premieres on Saturday, June 28 at 9PM ET/PT on Lifetime.

In the The Tenth Circle Laura Stone (Preston) teaches at a local college and is wife to Daniel (Eldard), a comic book artist. Their seemingly idyllic lives are turned upside down when their 14-year-old daughter, Trixie, (Robertson) accuses her ex-boyfriend, Jason (Jamie Johnston), of raping her. When Jason later dies in an apparent suicide, the family finds itself in the center of a high profile murder investigation that rocks their Maine community.

As the story evolves, Trixie's darker motives are revealed and the truth of her story is questioned, while Laura and Daniel's relationship falters under the pressure and accusations. In the course of the investigation, Daniel's hidden and controversial past is exposed and Laura's personal secrets surface -- revealing just how far parents will go to protect their children.

The third Picoult novel to be adapted by Lifetime (both The Pact and Plain Truth became Lifetime Original Movies), The Tenth Circle is executive produced by Michael Jaffe and Howard Braunstein of Jaffe/Braunstein Films (The Memory Keeper's Daughter). Released in 2006, The Tenth Circle is Picoult's 13th novel, which has won rave reviews from critics across the country, receiving an "A" from Entertainment Weekly and called "gripping" by People magazine. Picoult's latest novel, Nineteen Minutes, was released earlier this year and immediately became #1 on the New York Times best-seller list. My Sister's Keeper is being adapted into a feature film by New Line Cinema, starring Cameron Diaz, Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning, with Nick Cassavetes set to direct.

Other books adapted into movies by Lifetime include The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards, starring Dermot Mulroney, Emily Watson and Gretchen Mol. The movie, which premiered in April 2008, became Lifetime's most-watched Original Movie since 1995, delivering 4.5 million homes and 4.5 million W18+. In addition, Lifetime adapted four titles from Nora Roberts including Angels Fall with Heather Locklear and Montana Sky with John Corbett; Joyce Carol Oates' We Were the Mulvaneys; Luanne Rice's Beach Girls; and Sue Monk Kidd's The Mermaid Chair.

The Tenth Circle is executive produced by Michael Jaffe and Howard Braunstein of Jaffe/Braunstein Films in association with Sony Pictures Television for Lifetime Television. Scott Goldman and Stephen Furst are also executive producers. Peter Markle directs from a script written by Maria Nation.
