Ryan Phillippe has signed on to star in the futuristic thriller Franklyn alongside Eva Green and Sam Riley. According to Variety, the film is being directed by first-timer Gerald McMorrow for the Recorded Picture Company.

The film is set in a contemporary London dominated by faith worshipers. The plot revolves around four lost souls divided by two parallel worlds. Their fate is set to collide when a single bullet changes their course forever.

The film does not have a set start date at this time, but production will likely start in England early next year.
