If this movie's box office does not meet expectations, Public Enemies is in trouble, even with the cast.
Anyways, where was I? Oh yeah. Vis and Chad are right. They have points and valid ones at that, that support and back their opinions, and I agree. all these shitheads on here in their basements, or their families, or chasing that American dream, come on this site and get pissed off because Bay isn't chasing that dream. He has surpassed it. And you people should lay off. I mean we are all entitles to opinions but when is enough enough? For fuck's sake show me one film any of you have made or a that becomes a blockbuster and I might take it back. Movies don't become blockbusters by people hating them. Only hard core critics looking for deep story or decent acting or well thought out plots and twists hated this. This is a GUILTY PLEASURE. How people don't understand that, I have no idea.
Oh, and on Bay, his first movie, Bad Boys was an instant hit and nobody ever heard of him. What does that say? And don't say its due to the actors.
Michael Bay only directed two good movies, Transformers and The Rock.
I have not seen Bad Boys.
Bay is a hell of a lot better than a lot of the other "action-heavy" directors out there. Stephen Sommers...I'm sorry, but the Mummy movies are NOT that great. Roland Emmerich... do you really believe that 2012 will be anything but special effects? 2012 is based on an ancient Mayan prophecy that a lot of people believe to be true, but NO, we're gonna give it to the disaster movie guy.
The fact of the matter is Transformers doesn't HAVE to be anything but effects heavy, and for those of you who think that's ALL it offers are so fucking stupid. The dialogue is humorous and the performances are pretty good for what you all refer to as "nothing but action and special effects."
The problem is not Michael Bay. You can't blame the guy for wanting to incorporate a shit load of action in a movie about GIANT GODDAMN ROBOTS. The problem is all of you who believe you're "above the crowd" and are too smart to see a movie that relies solely on FX. Pull your fucking heads out of your asses and just watch the goddamn movie. You're no one special for not wanting to see it.
What do you people do for a living? hmmm? I'm guessing most of you have office jobs since you're on here all day. Bay may not be the greatest director on the face of the Earth, but he didn't get "lucky." He's made a toy and cartoon property into a huge and successful franchise. He was given the job to handle a property with a loyal fan following and trusted to turn it into a movie, and that's just what he did. It's more than most of you pathetic assholes can say for yourselves. And before you start in on me, I'm 16 and still getting my education. Most of you haven't made anything out of your lives and you're bashing a man for doing just that.

I haven't seen a Bay flick I wasn't at least entertained by. Not all movies need to be deep and emotional, and at least he's the best at what he does, and what he does is make action movies. Is that a bad thing? No.
Then what's the point of leaving one...
Well said, Chad.
Seriously guys, it's immature and irresponsible to keep up this charade. And I'm not just talking about Micheal Bay haters, this about any article inwhich I see pages of shit talking. I thought we were on here because we LOVE movies not to hear how much you HATE someone or something.
Who would have guessed...
And Silk, if you gonna swear, swear for fucks sake. Jeez.
Why people hate Bay, I have no idea. I think this is a pretty cool thing, and right up his alley.
