Will Spider-Man 4 Feature Peter and Mary Jane's Baby?

Source:  Spoiler TV
If a new casting breakdown is any indicator, we might see some Spidey offspring in the upcoming sequel. Spoiler TV has posted a casting breakdown for Spider-Man 4 that could possibly be for the child of Tobey McGuire's Peter Parker and Kirsten Dunst's Mary Jane Watson.

2 or 3 year old boy to play 2 year old, Caucasian with RED HAIR, an adorable toddler with an engaging personality, on set experience preferred. IDENTICAL TWINS ONLY

Of course, this could be for a much different character in the film, but the emphasis on the red hair of the child is intriguing. Nothing has been confirmed by the studio, so we'll be sure to keep you posted on any updates on this new character in Spider-Man 4 as soon as we have more information.

Spider-Man 4 will go before cameras in March of 2010 for a May 5, 2011 release.

there will be too many stories in this film, meaning it'll be harder to engage with whats going on. not a good idea at all..

And let's be honest, if they do this next film with Carnage, and do it justice, they will redeem themselves in the fans eyes, since Carnage is anothor big fan favorite. I wonder if that's the plan they are going with. If that's the case, it's a very smart move on their part.

Lol comrade. That would be great story wise though, if it was Harry's, MJ knows but doesn't tell Peter and he finds out later in the film. That'd be the dramatic part of the film lol. Then the rest would be villian fights haha.

I hope the red head baby is Carnage as a baby... even though it still kinda makes no sense... why would they show a flashback of a toddler? Wouldn't it make more sense to do a flashback of when he was crazy? Or are they going for a Rob Zombie's Halloween Micheal Myers fucked up childhood in flashbacks? That's the only thing that would make any sense if it were Cletus Kasady (Carnage). The whole being Harry's kid or Peter's kid with MJ makes the most sense. If it's Peter's child, I will not be happy about this lol. It it's Harry's that would be interesting to see, even if it sounds familiar... Pearl Harbor anyone? But anyway, I'm hoping for the Carnage idea. We can dream can't we? And if they say that The Lizard isn't in this film, then the possibilities of Carnage being the main villian is pretty good.

K, I'm a little off here. I'm pretty sure they said they've released that Dr. Connors is in this one, but won't appear as Lizard. Am I the only one that saw the Newspaper on the wall behind JJ in SM3 that says, "Doc Ock Returns/or Sited"? Can't remember exact and I'm not watchin' it again anytime soon to get the quote... so he's a possibility eventually. I thought it's also been released that they want a three part storyline with 5&6 being shot back-to-back as one complete story. This leaves the possibility of Carnage and his childhood (flashbacks), but I'd honestly hate to see him introduced, cause there's no way they'll do an "R" rated Spiderman and it would have to be "R" to bring Carnage into the story the right way. I do agree with a couple of things... kill MJ or replace Kirsten Dunst and WTF? Why bring Gwen into SM3 if you're not going to carry her over? That movie already had too much useless shit.

Okay, I'm up for anyone to validate or debunk... I'm not 100% sure on the released statements about this movie, so I'm open to hear if anyone else has heard different.

okthis is probably the STUPIDEST idea that i've heard in a long time. after the fiasco that was SM3, you'd think they'd have learned. they need to stop 'adding stuff' to this movie and just bring it back to basics. spidey vs. villains. period. get off MJ, get off all the other unnecessary crap, bring it back to just one villain and make a good movie. why the hell is that so hard?? and a baby?? if that is true then it's WAAAAAYYYYY too early for all that nonsense. just like it was way too early to bring in venom, and we all saw how that turned out. trust me, if this is the way this movie is going to go, then it will suck just like SM3 did.

I'm not big on the Spidey films since the third, which is pretty common on this site. Whether this is true or not, a child is way too soon in this series...especially when they haven't set up Dr. Connors to be Lizard.

I wish they would have stuck to the mythology. Even if Gwen Stacey was in the first film getting killed off by the Green Goblin. That's just me.

What would be nice to see is a set up for a villain in future installments like Electro or Mysterio, possibly Scorpion. I don't know how a Sinister Six film would hold up if they can't even handle three villains. Spider-Man is entertaining to watch but I believe it's too consumed with Mary Jane.

It sounds to me like there are too many eggs in the same basket. Use one villain, maybe build another the fifth film's baddie on the side, and construct a Spidey film on par with the first two. They need to take the film "back to formula!" All this nonsense about a 'lil Pete swinging through the city needs to be dumped in the Hudson immediately. If done wrong - which face it, is the most plausible outcome - it will only serve as a hindrance to the overall story.

Why don't they just rewrite the sucker for the nineteenth time? ;P

Quick question, are they filming the next two films back-to-back?

You want Black Cat...Lizard...Carnage...AND the baby? What?

About the challenge aspect: I thought that at first, too. But don't you think Lizard would be a big enough challenge, both physically and mentally? He's a friend of Peter's...there's your emotional struggle. Or how about the fact that there'll be 3 love interests(assuming the rumor about Cat is true and Gwen comes back)? There's already enough challenges floating around this movie...no need to bring in a baby. Like I said, there's dozens of possibilities they could explore that have already been set in motion before they introduce "Spider-Boy."

baby Spidey sounds like a neat idea
I still want to see Lizard and Carnage
I hope they can do Black Cat justice especially if she's going to be played by McAdams
like they said before, Spidey could use a challenge

It would certainly be venturing into new territory. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Spidey and Mary Jane had a child, a GIRL, and that wasn't even part of continuity. I'm not the type who goes haywire over changing comic continuity for films if it works out for the best, but c'mon...they're already thinking about bringing in Felicia Hardy. Then there's the question of Gwen Stacy. Will she be returning? Who's the villain? Black Cat and Lizard, or are they gonna be bold and introduce someone else? Is MJ gonna die???? Too many questions and possibilities for this movie have yet to be answered and could be addressed for a child to be brought into the mix. I'd much rather they focus on introducing characters that are actually part of the Spidey mythos before they think about giving him a son. Too much is already happening in this movie for them to make that kind of mistake.

Ya know what it's doing if this is true? It's venturing down Superman Returns territory...and the super kid was the worst part of that movie.
