It seems that horror starlet Danielle Harris has been cast in a spin-off of a classic horror tale. Harris revealed on her
Twitter account that she has been cast as Barbara in
Night of the Living Dead: Origins.
Last night the actress posted the following tweet, in regards to the film: "meeting with the director for "Night of the Living Dead"!! Hope I get it!! That would rock!!" Earlier today, Harris updated her account with the following:
All you're good luck wishes worked! Guess who's gonna be Barbara???!!
Zebediah de Soto is directing the film, a CGI-based 3-D spin-off of George A. Romero's original
Night of the Living Dead film.

And what the hell is up with the whole concept of this being a 3D CGI film, just that alone blended with zombies sounds awfully unbearable, i'm a fan of Romero's Dead series too.
And well if you were De Soto, then you wouldn't touchn it, or even have the thought to make it 3D CGI, it sounds like the aspect and craze of 3D has been bunged on this film for a selling point.
If your gonna make this at least make it a live action feature, 3D CGI just makes it sounds like a cheap way to keep production costs down.
3D CGI + Zombies = Disaster (in a bad way)
No offence its just my constructive criticism, good luck

And I refuse to rape to death the vision that was NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.
I do fully intend to:
1) expand on the part of the story we never got see.
2) expand the scope of how big a zombie plague this event would be.
Cooper talks about being stuck on a highway in a bit of dialogue from the original. His car being overturned. Zombies surrounding his family. His daughter Karen being bitten, etc...
But we never got to see that...
Until now
As a fanboy I have always wanted to see the end results of a zombie riot on a massive scale.
As a fanboy I am tired of being short changed on the carnage and destruction an epic saga such as NIGHT has always deserved.
So I am going to fix that.

But what do these guys expect to gain by making a 3D CGI Zombie film, its dumb and pointless and there is so little you can do with 3D in a zombie film...
This film is just pointless
