It seems that a beloved sci-fi series might make its way to the silver screen after its television run.
IGN is reporting that a
Battlestar Galactica film is being developed.
The site is also reporting, however, that the film will be based on the original 1978
Battlestar Galactica series and not the popular Sci Fi channel reincarnation that is finishing its TV run up this year. Original series creator Glen R. Larson is set to write the script and produce the film.
While Universal Studios denied the report, the site was able to confirm the news through several independent sources and they expect the studio to make an official announcement in the near future.

Courious what the movie would exactly be?? Perhaps just a re-telling of the first episode of the new series.. only longer????

This should be interesting i've seen some awesome stuff adverts from the Sci-Fi channel for the reincarnated series.
But if they can adapt that kind of style to this, then i'll definately be interested, especially since its being done by the creator of the show
