Four British actors have signed up for Nick Moran's second film. According to Variety, Rupert Friend, Ioan Gruffudd, Natascha McElhone and Liam Cunningham have joined the cast of The Kid.

The film is an adaptation of the best-selling true-story book by Kevin Lewis about an abused child who finds a way to escape his criminal upbringing and lead a normal life.

The film mark's director Nick Moran's follow-up to his critically-acclaimed debut, Telstar. No production schedule was released for the film.
