Dragonball Images
Dragonball is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama; the work was also turned into a Japanese anime series that played all over the world. It tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth, who has a change of heart and decides to join the humans in their fight against various aliens and bad guys. Justin Chatwin is starring as the hero Goku, while James Marsters will play the villain Piccolo in the sci-fi adventure.

Dragonball hits the theaters on April 3, 2009.

Yeah of corse. He wasn't what i expected either. You cant have an actor with 4 inch eyes and 3 feet long hair and expect people who never watched the TV show to go see the movie. Although seeing Bulma without blue hair is little different, but she's still hot. I just want to know what he will look like when he goes Super Sayian.

I read like the first sentence. And Vamp, all that stuff that I posted about it being Dragonball and not DBZ wasn't to you. And I was saying that it was an insult that you'd consider this just a rental, it's your opinion but still insulting. Oh well.

i grew up with dragon ballz in bootleg japanese videos even though i don't understand japanese. the intensity of the language mixed with samurai style showdowns is what got me hooked. then the jackie-chan inspired fighting with goku's jackie chan take on superman's character dilemma was amazing. when dragon ball was translated into american english, it lost all the subtleness and intensity. i love everyone for being a fan and sharing my experiences as i had before it became popular in america; honestly, i never thought i'd see the day...but now that there is a day...there's hope for a good dragon ballz movie...this might not be it...but do you know how many video game versions there were before they got it right...honestly, i think he does remind me of the dragon ball goku...but it's the way they talk and their idiosyncracies of balancing intense fighting with jackie chan comedy that will sell a dragon ball z movie in my opinion...american's in my opinion don't have that elitist attitude that the japanese hide and that's reflected in the language. it's that master oneself way of life that makes the japanese language intensify the cartoon soo much, bc it's all about being the best in the universe. It's all in the language is all i'm saying...dragon ball is not the same in American English. I don't really care what actors are in it...bring on the Japanese dialogue!!! And as hard as it is to hear Goku's voice initially, it becomes him...and that's the voice i identify with Goku. The not so serious but seriously competitive fighter. I don't get that out of the everyday joe-schmoe voice used in america.

Dude, I don't even watch this show and I knew that he wasn't going to go Saiyan. . . . . Bragg, that's not an insult that's my opinion. I don't really like the show so there is really nothing driving me on desparately to watch this movie. However, if it was, perhaps, an Inu Yasha movie, then perhaps I'd have to go see it. Same for if it was Blood + or Trinity Blood.

You know I never really got into this show, but I believe that I may just see this one. Not in theaters probably unless I'm invited and not asked to pay, but one I'd rent. . .
