G.I. Joe's Joseph Gordon-Levitt Talks About Being Cobra Commander

Source:  MTV Movie Blogs
While many of the characters from next summer's G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra have been seen in all of their fantastically detailed glory, one character remains absent from the public eye as of yet. And he is Cobra Commander. MTV Movie Blogs recently caught up with the actor behind the mask, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and got his take on what we can expect from this iconic bad guy.

Gordon Levitt told MTV Movie Blogs, "The cool thing about my character was that it's not that digital. I get to put hours of prosthetic makeup on and see a different creature altogether. I've seen how he looks and it's really cool."

About the voice, Joseph went on to say, "I love that voice from the cartoon. Chris Latta is a fantastic voiceover artist, but if you did that exact voice it would sound ridiculous in a live-action movie. I guess it's half Chris Latta and half me."

For more of Joseph's interview with MTV Movie Blogs, you can Click Here!. G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra will hit theaters on August 7th, 2009. With Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen coming on June 26th, 2009, this is going to be one Hasbro summer.

He gets held against this egg thing and it has like acid-like spores that change his face in the cartoon movie...into what appears like a snake kinda. You never see his face beforehand. At least I can't remember seeing his normal face lol. It's been at least 10 years since I've watched it lol so who knows haha.

While I'm totally stoked about this movie, i'm also quite nervous about it... it's hard enough to take something iconic and bring it back to life, but an iconic cartoon... this will either be the Flinstones all over again or it's...gonna...be... BAD!!!! can't wait! bring on the trailer!!!!
