Val Kilmer to Voice KITT in Knight Rider!

Source:  Variety
Movie PictureVal Kilmer has just signed on to voice KITT in NBC's highly anticipated remake of Knight Rider. According to Variety, Will Arnett left the project due to a contractual conflict of interest.

Arnett has been doing General Motors commercials for more than a decade and when GM discovered that KITT would be a Ford Mustang, the company asked Arnett to abandon the television series. Kilmer should be more than comfortable doing voice work after portraying Moses in The Prince of Egypt.

NBC's Knight Rider is scheduled to debut on February 17th.

I am a bit up in arms over the switch as well. Pontiac is KITT, KITT is Pontiac. This looks to be another Bionic Woman, lots of anxious fans, and loads of optimism, only to be left with something far less than the original.
