Warner Bros. to Remake Teen Wolf

Source:  Moviehole
Warner Bros. to Remake Teen WolfWith no end to Hollywood remakes in sight, Moviehole is reporting that Warner Bros. (who has owned the rights for some time) has begun development on a remake of Teen Wolf, the pic that starred Michael J. Fox as a high-school student turned werewolf.

The studio is out to writers who will reinterpret Rod Daniels' 1985 hit. No directors, actors, or release dates have been announced.

Instead of remaking this they should remake Eragon or half a dozen rotten films.

I think we can all agree that remakes suck, because of nostalgia reasons, or plainly the originals were just that damn good to keep. But sometimes films are dated, and sometimes just need to be retold for modern times. i could make a huge list of films being or have been done into remakes that i could care less about, or just feel they shamed the originals, but i can also make a huge list of films that need to be remade. anyway you look at it most people will miss or hit a film just for the sake of comparing it to, or seeing if it might surpass the originals. one day you might even see back to the future: the next generation, or even a (dare i say) wizard of oz remake, but we all know because we all love movies, that hollywood goes through a period of time where if something hits, it sticks for awhile (ex:comic films, horror, pirate movies, remakes, sequels.) just because they remake a film does not mean i need to watch it, and just because they remake a film, does not mean it will tarnish my memories of the old version.

Yay...it is official we are all screwed, I too agree that Hollywood is officially in the shit hole, why touch this classic film, while their at it, remake the Titanic, Forrest Gump, who framed roger rabbit? etc....why cant they remake stuff that bombed? oh well ...

There should be a comedy film about film remakes with Jack Black. I could see that happening,I would laugh at that sort of film.

Hmmmm, i know the idea would be brilliant, i feel like some how finding his contact details and sending him a letter.

I think Robocop & Bloodsport could work, from your list. But i respect that yes DARREN ARONFONSKY DROPPED ROBOCOP...
And i reckon that Bloodsport would have to be done by the Japanese or koreans for it to be a spectacle, i'm pretty sure it was originally done by Americans.

Koreans & Japanese cinema is becoming so much better than American cinema these days and so is indy cinema. Just look at the scale of some korean films and they are amazing...Red Cliff, Ong Bak, My Wife is a Gangster...And come on lets not forget one of the best Old Boy & Iron Monkey 1993, Twin Warriors aka Tai Chi Master.

TODD89: I KNOW WAT UR TALKING ABOUT, THATS WHY I THREW IT IN THERE, CUZ CMON WAT SENSE IS A ROBOCOP MOVIE GONNA MAKE NOW A DAYS

REMY72883: IF THEY REMAKE THE OUTSIDERS AT THIS TIME, WELL IM SURE U KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT MAN

IM IN FULL AGREEMENT WITH ANYONE WHO SAYS REMAKES TO CERTAIN MOVIES SHOULD NOT BE MADE, UNLESS THEYRE A WORTHY SEQUEL THAT STICKS TO A GOOD STORYLINE FOR THE CHARACTERS INVOLVED THEN MAYBE THATS KOO.

LOL HOLLYWOOD DOESNT NEED A BAIL OUT, ITS NEEDS A SWIFT KICK IN THE HEAD AND MAYBE THROUGH THE DAZE SOME NEW IDEAS CAN COME ALONG

J.A: I WOULD LOVE TO SEE MICHAEL MOORE DO THAT, IT WOULD BE GREAT TO SHOW HOW CINEMATIC REMAKES AND FEATURES OR JUST GOING DOWN THE TUBE AND ORIGINALITY IS REPLACED BY GUYS IN A BOARD MEETING SAYIN " HMMM I WONDER WAT PROPERTIES WE STIL OWN THAT WE CAN RE-DO THESE DAYS AND SPEND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO CRAP ON TO GET THESE MOVIES TO THEATERS....LETS REMAKE JOHNNY BE GOOD, AMADAEUS AND WHITE MEN CANT JUMP " LOL

HOLLYWOOD WE SALUTE YOU...BY WAVING A MIDDLE FINGER AT U :]

Obama needs to give Hollywood a bail-out so they can afford some new, original ideas. This is sad; sooo sad. I loved the original. Why can't they just leave the classics alone?

I ACTUALLY GOT AN IDEA, WAIT FOR IT.....

MICHAEL MOORE'S: ORIGINALITY:
THE FALL OF ORIGINALITY IN HOLLYWOOD

Its a must see

And editboy is correct, its why remakes continue.
This is why in my opinion DRAG ME TO HELL = Best movie of 2009.

I can remember the best remake ever...Its called 'THE ORIGINAL'

In fact i can't think of a remake that was better than the original, there are very few.

u know wat , this is the last straw, has hollywood gotten so desperate they wanna remake teen wolf

im ok with some of the remakes that have come to pass, but im done with paying money to go see a movie unless its an original or decent sequel, not a remake to a movie that wouldnt make sense these days

lets c wat else they can remake that wouldnt fit into the world today hmmm:

robocop
bloodsport
license to drive
stand by me
gremlins
critters
breakin and breakin 2
top gun
the breakfast club
home alone
ferris beuler { as someone has mentioned already}
wierd science....lol

cmon, this is getting out of hand here people, we need the fresh young writersout there in the world to take over hollywood and come up with new movies

im sorry to say, but hollywood is a big joke at times, no wonder our economy is crap, theyre spending millions of dollars to do shitty movies...nuff said
