Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely Set for Captain America
November 19th, 2008
Marvel Studios has signed on Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely to handle the script for The First Avenger: Captain America, which will be directed by Joe Johnston.According to Variety, the red-white-and-blue clad hero with the mighty indestructible shield came to prominence right after the invasion of Pearl Harbor as the U.S. declared war on Japan. The hero is the Marvel character most closely associated with the United States.
The property will provide an interesting litmus test on the world's appetite for an all-American hero by the time the film is released and distributed by Paramount in 2011.
The production date has not been set.

we will hope to see a good adaptation
Brad Pitt for Cap, and Karl Urban, or Viggo for Thor. As for Djimon Hounsou, i have to be honest, that's is great casting, cuz he is a great actor, and I always like the black Panther. didn't know he would be in it.
I knew who Karl Urban is, the point I was trying to make with that comment was that nobody will be interested in a Thor movie if they don't get a good, well known actor, and Karl Urban doesn't fit the bill
What's everyone's obsession with Karl Urban. He's really not that great, yeah he's been some great movies but he's never been the one to carry the movies. He's always been an add-on actor and I don't think he could star in a decent movie, let alone a blockbuster. Before any of u kids get your panties wet, Yes, I did see Pathfinder... not impressed.
Michael Fassbender (Stelios, 300) as cap america would be perfect!!

As far as Brad Pitt is concerned, I have never liked him very much. I could care less what anyone does in their personal life as long as it does not effect mine. I have disliked him longer than you have been alive, so I do not think I fit in your category of 'sad sap'.
And why not Brad Pitt for Cap? Is it because he's too much of a pretty boy? Well guess what, he's badass. He's got the right build, the right hair, the right face...if I didn't know any better I'd say the Cap creators looked into the future, saw Brad Pitt, and modeled Cap after him. Prime examples of his bad assnes: Troy and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I bet you base your opinion on him on his personal life like so many other sad saps before you.
But I breath easy because Marvel Studios wouldnt want that pansy anywhere near the character.
