ABC Picks Up Defying Gravity

According to The Hollywood Reporter ABC has bought 13-episodes of Defying Gravity.

Produced by Fox TV Studios' the show is an adventure drama that stars Ron Livingston. Other members of the cast are Laura Harris, Christina Cox, Malik Yoba and Florentine Lahme.

The show takes place in the near future and follows eight astronauts from five different countries who go on a six-year mission through the solar system.

Defying Gravity is slated to air this summer.

Currently, if everything works out, the plan is to do 2 more seasons of this sci fi themed show.

"I have the first three seasons blocked out, and I know the ending of the series," offered creator/executive producer James Parriott.

I didn't watch "Virtuality", but I was under the impression that it was more about virtual reality than the actual exploring of space. So, in that regard, this "Defying Gravity" series doesn't really sound like the same thing.

It'll air THIS summer? When? I'll be watching.
