3rd Twilight Film Eclipse Gets the Greenlight!

Summit Entertainment has given the greenlight to the third film in Stephanie Meyer's popular Twilight series. According to Variety, the film will be titled Eclipse, and it will have a release date of June 30th, 2010.

Production on the second film New Moon is scheduled to start soon, with Chris Weitz taking over for original director Catherine Hardwicke. All of the main actors are returning to reprise their roles, and are also expected to do so for Eclipse. In the film, Bella is forced to choose between Edward and Jacob.

At this time, there is no set director for this third film in the popular series.

Eclipse to me is the best book out of the entire series, I hope they won't rush this one too much even though I think they will. They're already rushing New Moon so I don't know how that one will turn out, we'll just have to wait and see. But I think if they stay true to the story then the films will turn out ok.

I saw some twilight scenes from youtube and the scene where they were playing baseball was fuckin retarded...whoever said this movie was "great" deserves a fuckin screwdriver thru the throat vorhees style.
