It just goes to show that you can never REALLY ever kill these characters.

I just have one concern: Michael Bay. While Transformers somewhat redeemed him, he hasn't had a history of good movies. I guess he can't do too much damage as just the producer...we'll see.

John Carpenter's The Thing was such a bad ass movie lol. They should make a sequel. Or hell, they could even do a remake since that's popular at this time. I don't mind remakes. It doesn't destroy anything, since you will still have the originals. Personally, all the horror movies I have ever seen have been a joke in one form or another. Quality wise, they don't stand a chance into todays world. That old shitty camera look and grain etc.

looks like the same old stuff we've seen before.
so what? jason runs for once.
ur telling me u dont think there will be scenes where he takes his time walking towards a girl who somehow keeps tripping over countless amounts of holes and logs? the teaser is great but idk yet. The full trailer will be helpful.

Ya your right, making movies are better than they were back then, plus they were not as scary,I seen Texas Chain Saw then saw the remake in 2003 I thought It lived up to the original, but horror movies are crap these days I cannot stand the Saw movies it's the same shit over & over.

That's true but you already have the original for generations...I think they remake for "the look" of the film. As in to make it look better than the original. For example Clash of the Titans: the movie will simply be remade for "the look" since we have technology to make something look a lot more real than the original.

Hay,Ringwraither,to answer your question why make a remake, well maybe its generation I remember I was 10 years old in 1982 and dad took me to go see John Carpenders The Thing remake, maybe its pointed towards a younger gen,not as I was when I saw The Thing,It could be age.

Agree with phxman that it will be a well made film, but the only thing that I want answered is..WHY? Why would they make remake? Is it for money or for the word of mouth (being better than the original). I'm not sure how much they'll accomplish here with no name actors and actresses, but from the look of it, it seems well made.

October 27th, 2008 1:32pm
Ok,Michael Bay as producer and director of Texas Chainsaw,It's going to be a very well made remake.I will go see this the day it hits theaters,I'm not a fan of remakes because Hollywood is just running out of ideas but I will see this for sure.

ooooooooooohhh!!!! i love this argument. who would win between Jason and Mikey? well you have tyo look at all the facts.
they are both very similer. and it depends which Jason and Myers we are talking about. if you mean from the orginal movies, then it's hard to call. but if you take Myers (H20) and Jason X. then Jason would tear him a new A-hole.
then again again you could compare Myers (Zombies version, who is a big motherfucker played by Tyler mane) and the new Jason (again, abig mother fucker who runs fast played by Derek Mears) then i would go with Jason. lifting Myers into a running powerbomb and slamming his big ass into the dirt.

lmao rad...good point. I liked how he was always calm. I thought that was creepier than Freddy joking about fear or something stupid of that sort.

P.S. Jason would eat Myers for breakfast. End of story.

What you don't get CMR is that that's what killed Mike. Giving him a story killed him. Halloween was scary because no one really knew what made Mike kill. That's the f'ed up part about him. And remember I'm talking about the original Halloween so I don't know why u went through the entire series for me. Making him a baby because he had it hard at home is just to cliche, too boring. That's not horror. That's another "my parents hated me, now I'ma kill" big woopy. What made the new Joker scary was the same reason Mike Myers was scarier in the first. There was no back story to them. In the new Batman, at first u think there is because he talked about how his dad gave him those scars but then he changes the story to everyone else so no one really knows how he came to be. No ID no nothing just a simple crazy guy. Rob Zombie made Mike too colorful. John Carpenter made Mike a mystery and more creepy. Back then Mike Myers was even known as The Shape. No emotion no nothing simple evil. Now in the new one I got a story...ya goodbye to creepy factor. It's not creepy on how someone kills someone, it's creepy not knowing what's going on in their head, what made them crazy.

who the fuck is going to believe a movie about a mass murderer who stalks his victims at the pace of a turtoise? at least they are adding a bit of realism. even if the overall story is still far fetched.

i hope he runs fucking marathon and slices and dices every-one he passes!

Lol it makes me laugh when someone says Zombie ruin the Halloween franchise , am a huge fan of the halloween franchise but always thought that the original was far from perfect , and honnestly i found the remake to be a lot more creepier and intense then the original , and Zombies casting is just pure candy.

but am not here to talk about that remake but the Jason one , well first since Jason is already in the first one and that he already had is mask , this shouldnt be called a remake at all but just an addition to a popular franchise ( just like the TCM recent additions ) . the film looks o.k , was dying to see another Jason set in the woods , but to have him run WTF , and ill leave it at that for now ,

It looks good already. Not only does it keep the creepy music, but Jason runs.
