Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Ruffalo Drive Down Reservation Road

Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Ruffalo will star in the drama, Reservation Road for Focus Features.

Terry George is directing the adaptation of the John Burnham Schwartz novel; Schwarz also wrote the original screenplay. The film will have Phoenix and Ruffalo play fathers on opposite sides of a hit-and-run, says Variety; the Ruffalo character kills Phoenix's son and flees. As the grieving father seeks revenge, the tragedy wears on both men in unexpected ways.
