Ain't It Cool News scooper wrote in from the Bradford International Film Festival, where Oscar-winning
Slumdog Millionaire screenwriter Simon Beaufoy revealed he has been hired to write a
X-Men Origins: Wolverine sequel.
i'm currently working at the bradford international film festival in the UK, and tonight we had simon beaufoy, screenwriter of slumdog millionaire doing a screentalk.
anyway he dropped a bit of a scoop, hes been employed to write the script for "wolverine 2" a film
i didnt actually realise was even in the pipeline.
he commented that while he was apprehensive about the project (claiming to not even know what a wolverine was!) his agent pursuaded him to take it on.
he clarified that working on a film thats successor has yet to be finished was a strange experience, and one that he wasnt sure he was comfortable with. anyway, i read your site everyday and figured id send this interesting little tidbit over,

There, I managed to express a position on a film I haven't seen without making any statements that would have had to have been grounded by viewing the actual movie. And my point was still made. Presumptions are the worst thing anyone can do when it comes to films.
Thank God this is a rumor.
I'll try not to take this news seriously, though...an article that doesn't know when to capitalize letters usually means epic fail
OFF TOPIC: Anyone hear the rumor of the Spiderman 4/5 script getting leaked? Just wondering if there's any truth to the rumor of Electro and Carnage being scripted for these two. Still don't like the idea of a PG13 Carnage movie.
