Synopsis:
A group of National Guard trainees on a routine mission stop at the Yuma Flats Training and Testing Facility in New Mexico only to find the isolated camp mysteriously deserted. Little do they know that these are the very hills where the ill-fated Carter family once visited, and that the blood-thirsty tribe of cannibalistic mutants lies in wait. But this time, the mutant patriarch isn't just looking for a quick bite - he needs female breeders to continue his family line!

Shockingly horrific and graphically violent, the chilling sequel to last year's successful remake of the cult-classic film, The Hills Have Eyes 2 bleeds onto DVD July 17th from Fox Home Entertainment. Co-written by horror maven Wes Craven (A Nightmare on Elm Street) with his son Jonathan Craven, the blood-soaked sequel picks up two years after the ill-fated Carter family was attacked in the New Mexico desert. The Hills Have Eyes 2 follows a group of rookie National Guard soldiers who come across a deserted research facility in the middle of nowhere. When a distress signal is located in a distant mountain range, a search and rescue mission commences, leading them straight into the clutches of a deranged group of cannibalistic mutants and a relentlessly brutal fight for their lives. Cutting-edge filmmaker Martin Weisz (Butterfly: A Grimm Love Story) directs a talented cast of hot up-and-coming talents including Jacob Vargas (Bobby), Flex Alexander (Snakes on a Plane), Lee Thompson Young (Akeelah and the Bee), Daniella Alonso (Wrong Turn 2) and Ben Crowley (Inside Man).

Available in an Unrated Edition DVD featuring graphic material too intense and brutal for the theatrical release, The Hills Have Eyes 2 DVD includes a shocking alternate ending, deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes featurettes, Fox Movie Channel on-camera interview with horror master Wes Craven, an inside look at the new graphic novel and more. For the faint of heart, Fox Home Entertainment will also release The Hills Have Eyes 2 on DVD in the original theatrical version; both DVDs are available for a suggested retail price of $29.98 U.S./ $43.48 Canada.
