What the hell is Gambit doing in a Wolverine Origin movie? Fire up an X Men 4 and put him in that where he can stir up the Rogue/Iceman relationship and bring back back the glory days of X Men folklore!

Alright guys. I was actually thinking about this whole age/timeline thing before I even posted my first comment and then I started thinking even more about it. As it turns out this may not be all that bad after all. I agree that Josh Holloway would have made for an overall better Gambit..... but for something like X4 not origins. I also agree, like I said before, that Gambit should have made his first appearance in the other films. However, this Taylor Kitsch guy is only 26 years old, whereas Josh Holloway is going to be 40 next year. So if they make this movie with this Kitsch and then X4 with Holloway then things will match up pretty well. In the comics and the original T.V series I always perceived Gambit as being in his early 30's, or at least closer to Wolverine and Cyclops's age. If they end up using Gambit as a bad guy in this one then you have the perfect drama and tension between him and Wolverine when he tries to join the X-men in X4. And if he is a good guy in this movie then its a reunion of old friends in X4. Theoretically it should work out alright.

This guy just doesn't have Gambit's scruffy cajun look. I don't know, guess I should be happy that they are finally putting him in a movie.

Hey, now all the Marvel fanboys can hate a flesh-and-blood Remy! I have to admit, I don't like him much lately either. What a wasted character.

Thankfully they finally put him in an X-movie.

two things to say about this, 1: at last gambit on the big screen, 2: why this guy, josh holloway would have been better

It's about damn time they have Gambit. Why the hell wasn't he in the earlier movies? What would have rocked.

Although they could call it "Uncanny X-Men" like they and have it focus on secondtier characters like Angel, Beast, Colossus, etc. I'd like to see Apocalypse or the Hellfire Club. And yes, Reynolds is the perfect choice for Deadpool, and this is the right movie.

I for one don't think there should be an X4. It ended with the LAST STAND. What are they gonna call the next one? "X-Men: We Were Just Kidding"? I always pictured X-Men as a trilogy with spin-off films, like they're doing now.

You know, i was thinking, ever way I think they (20th century fox) will still include Gambit in X4, probably because of the fan base, hopefully Josh Holloway will play it or they may end up calling this prequel, set in a different time line than the X-men franchise, change the date for the movie man, have it set a little closer to the first one or get Josh on X4

Bad casting here. And the picture they got to show Gambit is pretty poor too. Doesn't really reflect Gambit at all. Show me Gambit hitting on some girls or throwing some explosive playing cards. I'm might be alone on this one, but I like the old school blue and yellow outfits too.
