A new NBC show might have found its replacement for their recent
casting vacancy. According to
The Hollywood Reporter, Helen Hunt is being considered for the lead in
Parenthood.
Hunt would replace Maura Tierney, who recently left the series due to her lengthy breast cancer treatments. The show was originally scheduled for a fall debut, but NBC pushed the series to mid-season so Tierney could undergo treatment. Tierney recently left the series because the treatments were to take longer than expected.
The series, created by Jason Katims, also stars Peter Krause, Erika Christensen, Dax Shepard, Bonnie Bedelia and Craig T. Nelson.
