Jason Lee has agreed to be the voice of
Underdog in the upcoming Disney adaptation of the 1960's super hero dog.
The film will follow the evolution of
Underdog from the time his name was Shoeshine Boy, says
The Hollywood Reporter. In the movie, he is adopted by a 12-year-old boy and uses his superpower to protect his love, Polly Purebred, and the citizens of Capitol City from the evil Simon Barsinister.
Peter Dinklage has also been cast as Barsinister in the live-action flick;
Underdog will be animated. Filming is already underway; a 2007 release has been set.
