Iron Man flies into theatres officially tonight, but that hasn't stopped Hollywood from considering when we might see the sequel. Brad Grey, CEO for Paramount Pictures, told Entertainment Tonight that, if the film does as well as is expected, they're already looking to release the follow-up in 2010.

Iron Man director Jon Favreau has already talked about possibilities for the sequel, which include seeing Jim Rhodes (Terrence Howard) become the superhero War Machine, and the exploration of Tony Stark's (Robert Downey, Jr.) alcoholism. Additionally, as suggested by a sequence which follows the closing credits, Marvel and Paramount are already looking to the future to create an Avengers film, using the casts from both Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges and Shaun Toub and directed by Jon Favreau, Iron Man opens everywhere May 2, 2008.

Seems like Gwyneth Paltrow doesn't play her role too right. Her character isn't convincing enough...Either way, I'm still gonna whatch this...

just saw this tonight, and finally someone in hollywood gets it right! from the trailers to the film debut, i have been looking forward to this and maybe not always... the critics at least the reviews i have read are right on target, this was a great movie. it had a well adapted story, and downey jr. was really into the part as was the rest of the cast. no suprise here that they will be making a sequel, but it is welcomed and well deserved! although i am looking forward the other films this summer, this really does kick it off with something refreshing from a superhero icon. props and bravo to the cast and crew that finally brought iron man to the big screen, and i just cant wait to see it again.

I saw the movie yesterday in my country , and let me tell you that Iron Man is AWESOMMMM, Great great action, Robert is perfect as Tony Stark's. I love the fact that the movie is not like the crap of spiderman 3 or superman, in this movie Iron man is "BAD ASS" he is rude, funny, sexy, all that you want to see in a superhero. Shure there is a second part.
