MTV has confirmed that filming on
Spider-Man 4 will commence in 2010 and J.K. Simmons will be returning as
Daily Bugle publisher J. Jonah Jameson.
"We've definitely brainstormed ideas for Triple-J, but I have no desire to make Triple-J more of the focus of those movies," J.K. Simmons said. "The amount that I did in 1, 2 and 3, is just exactly right. Like be the wolf. Come in, blow in, do a week, blow out, be the comic relief, and hit the road. And let Tobey and everybody else do the heavy lifting."
Director Sam Raimi's fourth installment in the Spider-Man franchise is said to begin production in March of 2010 and will hit theaters in May of 2011. Playwright David Lindsay-Abaire is writing the script.

Thoughts?
"My idea just looks better on film thats all, there have been so many scripts written by fan boys like you."
You're a fanboy too you dumb ass. You created a story for the movie, therefore, you wrote what you want to see, and therefore YOU. ARE. A. FANBOY. Now get over yourself, and learn some grammar while you're at it.
Thanks, Fallen. Actually, Carnage would be in a good portion of the film because Lizard will show up again in part 6. I didn't want to give Mysterio a larger part because I think he's not a good enough villain to hold his own unless part of a team. I think having the Hobgoblin be the director of Sinister Six who recruits everybody is a good idea because 1) he's a business man and 2) it's reminiscent of Norman Osborn recently in the Marvel U, since he's director of the Thunderbolts and now the Dark Avengers. I also thought it was a good idea to attack the White House(or any other government building) because it takes Spidey out of NYC for a bit.
1. Carnage does need more running time. Seriously.
2. Mysterio should have a bigger part, not Hobgoblin, because the goblins are getting old no offense.
3. The six I don't think should attack the white house.
other than that, I think it's pretty good. too bad the script is already written though, huh.
My idea just looks better on film thats all, there have been so many scripts written by fan boys like you understand this VIS we all want to have a movie thats filled with fantastic over the top action with so many characters in it but that really cant work, its
to expensive.
You have a great vision i think its cool and all and as much as you want it to come true it cant especially with avengers around the corner theres no way the studios are getting that idea.
But sorry for the constructive criticism ive obviously seen you cant take it maybe theres no point for arguing with you, i do have
far better things to do in my spare time....cheers.
Oh, and way to say your idea is perfect after I said mine was...just proves you're not "imaginative" because you can't think for yourself. My idea will get people interested for the other sequels. You can't read that and think to yourself "oh, this won't work." It could work
Tobey Maguire- Peter parker.
Kirsten Dunst- Mary jane Watson.
Dylan Baker- Dr curt Connors.
J.k Simmons- J jonah jameson.
Gordon Levitt- Maxwell Dylan.
Vin Diesel- Herman schultz.
Okay, here's my thoughts summed up in one long comment:
Spider-Man 4:
Peter and MJ's relationship is slowly getting better after the events of part 3. Peter wants to be cured so he and MJ can be together without worrying if she's going to be abducted by super villains, so he goes to Dr. Connors for help. He takes a sample of Peter's blood for testing, which the piece of symbiote that Dr. Connors still has absorbs(thus turning it red). It escapes with portions of Peter's memories from when it was attached to him, so it goes on a killing spree to become "full grown." It feeds on people's energy and it goes after MJ...and kills her. Peter is guilt struck. Connors, feeling equally as guilty, gives Peter a "pep talk," making him realize that he needs to embrace being a hero instead of questioning being one if he wants to prevent things like this from happening again. Peter confronts the symbiote and after a big battle, kills it. Meanwhile, Connors tries curing HIMself by using what's left of Peter's blood mixed with lizard DNA in some twisted scientific only-in-the-movies type experiement. He then grows into the Lizard and attacks Peter, blaming him for all this. After a big battle, Peter finally talks sense into Lizard by giving him one of those "remember what you told me about being a hero?" type speeches. Lizard goes off into the distance and we find out later that he is in another country as Connors...the formula weared off, but Connors is still testing on test subjects...this where we'll witness half monkey/half lizard awesomeness. Think the end of "The Incredible Hulk" when Hulk runs off and Banner is in another part of the world trying to control his transformations. Back in NYC, Peter is at MJ's funeral where Gwen comforts him and tells him she'll always be there for him. With MJ gone, Spidey can now be the adventuring, wise cracking hero we've come to know and love.
Spider-Man 5:
It's been a few months since the aftermath of the last film. Gwen and Peter have been hanging out more, but just as friends. Spidey has been pummeling evil doers in MJ's name. An old business partner of Norman Osborn, Roderick Kingsley, has taken over OsCorp and it's in full force. Everything seems to be going good until the evil Wilson Fisk, Kingpin, runs for mayor. Seeing Spider-Man as a possible threat, he hires Mac Gargan to undergo a barely tested experiement at OsCorp, which Kingsley give the go ahead on after a big check from Fisk. The experiment gives Gargan superhuman strength and endurance and he is equipped with a suit sporting a scorpion-like tail to battle Spider-Man. On their first meeting, Spidey defeats Scorpion, but only after their battle causes the death of Gwen's father. Gwen then finds Peter's suit in his house and is enraged because an arrest warrent has been issued for Spidey for killing her father. Gwen, who heard about it from her dad who had connections to those types of things, decides to undergo the same experiment Gargan did and becomes the Black Cat. Meanwhile, Gargan's pursuit to rid Spidey becomes more than just a job and gets "personal" after his ego is bruised by getting defeated. Black Cat faces Spidey, they fight, Gwen reveals herself to be Cat...and then Scorpion shows up. After a battle, Gwen realizes that the man behind ALL of this is really responsible for her father's death: Kingpin. While Spidey battles Scorpion(and defeats him, but doesn't kill him), Gwen, as Black Cat, goes to Fisk's place and confronts him. Gwen is left bruised and beaten until Spidey shows up and helps her, causing Kingpin's arrest. Gwen forgives Peter, they renew they're friendship, she hangs up the costume(for now), and we discover that Gargan is in Ryker's and Kingsley has discovered the Goblin's lair. He becomes Hobgoblin and "visits" with Gargan, offering him redemption. We then cut to where we left Connors in the fourth flick, and Hobgoblin and Scorpion are there, setting up the story for the sixth and final flick of the saga.
Spider-Man 6:
Kingsley has been recruiting super villains for a team(shall we call them the Sinister Six?). Think the Avengers, in which heroes have started getting recruited by SHIELD. Peter and Gwen are now room mates, still just friends. Electro and Mysterio are introduced and recruited. We're given backgrounds to them through Kingsley's narrative as he instructs his current members to nab them. Kingsley himself confronts the returning Sandman and offers him the money he needs to save his daughter if he joins him. The team now consists of Hobgoblin, Sandman, Scorpion, Lizard, Electro, and Mysterio...six, baby. This is the final film, so it's big in scope. The team's main objective is to take control of the country's government...but not if Spider-Man has anything to say about it. This movies brings Spidey from NYC to Washington D.C, where the villains have attacked the White House. Spidey battles the Six and is nearly beaten to within and inch of his life. The villains return to NYC with him and hold Spidey ransom for 500 million dollars each or what have you. Gwen, however, dons her Black Cat duds again and tries to help Spidey. When seeing Cat almost beaten, Sandman snaps and decides this is know way to save his daughter and helps Cat and Spidey. Together they defeat the now Sinister Five, but suffer a tragic loss in the process as Gwen is killed. Sandman, however, is made a hero and his daughter is granted free medical treatment. He even attends Gwen's funeral. The rest of the villains are thrown back into Ryker's(except for Connors who Spidey and Connors vouch for since the others were deliberately forcing his formula into him...he is stripped of his lab, though, and other privileges) and the story ends...ta da.
Of course that's just the basic concepts
Spider-Man wouldn't work out as a dark movie. My favorite is part 2.
Doesn't Gwen become Black Cat or am I confusing her with another character? Just asking.
the vulture, shoker, electro, kingpin, and rhino
