Watch the Outlander Trailer Now!

Source:  IGN
IGN has unveiled the trailer for the sci-fi action-adventure Outlander, opening in theaters January 23rd. Check it out below.

Directed by Howard McCain, the Weinstein Co. project stars Jim Caviezel, Sophia Myles, Jack Huston, Ron Perlman and John Hurt.

Outlander begins when a space craft crashes into the majestic fjords of ancient Norway and into the time of the Vikings. From the wreckage emerge two bitter enemies: a soldier from another world - Kainan - and a bloodthirsty creature known as the Moorwen. Man and monster both seeking revenge for violence committed against them. As the Moorwen ravages the Viking world, killing everything in its path, Kainan forms an unlikely alliance with the primitive but fierce warriors. Combining his advanced technology with ancient Iron Age weapons, the hero leads a desperate attempt to kill the monster - before it destroys them all.

the whole bionic futuristic part seems uneeded.the whole movie itself seems a bit pointless.the visual effects look desent.it kinda looks like those fake scorcher movie trailers in tropic thunder

Sounds and looks corny. I'll wait till it's on the Scifi channel. It's like adding laser guns to Pathfinder (which was horrible without laser guns), the 2 genres just don't mix in my mind. Before anyone says I just don't like those kind of films, yes, I did like The 13th Warrior.

Wizdome "You are a moron" Pathfinder was ok but The Thirteenth Warrior was awesome and the battle scenes were great If you are not a fan of this type of movie than I can see why you wouldn't like them but anything with Vikings , John hurt, and Ron Perlman can't be all bad

That's where you're wrong MikeyV1. "Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans" is going to kick this movie's ass nine ways to China.

dang looks great. and i have seen no promotion for this film. im gonna have to agree with kyle hannah and comrade henson that it will go to umderworld cuz its been so hyped up. and only one week for this movie to come out and they expect money? and i bet this will be better than underworld. just a guess.

Some very nice effects and cinematography but the story looks too ludacris to take seriously. I'm betting this will flop i'll check it out on DVD possibly. The 23rd belongs to the Deathdealers and Lycans :)

John Hurt is the only awesome thing about this movie, Vamp. His performance in The Elephant Man was spectacular alongside Lynch's auteurism.

Also Comrade this film been advertised but it just because it hasn't been majorily promoted and its been overseen by the other blockbuster hits coming out this year, that we haven't paid attention to this.

HOLY SHIT! The 23rd is a week away, and I've never heard of this thing before now, and believe me, I listen. How the fuck did they expect to sell tickets without advertising it?

I would check it out on DVD, just because the action sequences look pretty slick. But, yeah, the dialogue sounds terrible. Also, who wants to explain why the vikings speak English? Probably universal translator, but that doesn't explain why they speak in the idiom of people born in the eighties.

LOL
this looks terrible, lol vikings and Jim Cavaziel...The only good film he was in was 'Passion Of The Christ.'

Soom good advice for Weinstein
How about just release this on sci-fi channel, straight.
Then announce you guys have scrapped Scream 4

And well just give us Inglorious Bastards & Machete

What the Fuck is this shit? It looks like a fucking Tv movie. Mixture of Dragon Wars and Reign of Fire. Jim Caviezel should be banned as an actor. Outlander is a good title. It will outland the top ten in the box office. Howard McCain, mmm..last name foreshadows a failure for this movie. Come on weinstein company, you can do better than this. Hurry up with Scream 4 to redeem yourselves.

I liked PATHFINDER and I'll be sure to watch this as well. I like ancient adventures especially when they are set in such intriguing mix of different times and dimensions.
