Spike TV Sets Up a David Carradine Movie Marathon

Source:  MovieWeb.com
Spike TV will celebrate the work of legendary action movie star David Carradine with a marathon featuring some of his iconic characters on Saturday, June 13 (2:00pm-3:00am ET/PT). A Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated actor who was given a star on Hollywood Blvd's "Walk of Fame," Carradine's career spanned five decades with dozens of memorable roles ranging from the Kung Fu television series (1972-1975) to Quentin Tarantino's classic Kill Bill films. Carradine also appeared in the highly-rated Spike TV original film, Kung Fu Killer, last August.

"This action-packed marathon is our way of paying homage to one of the most unforgettable martial arts action heroes in film and television history," said John Griffin, vice president, programming, Spike TV.

"The David Carradine Movie Marathon" includes the following:

SATURDAY, JUNE 13

Kill Bill Vol. 1

The Bride (Uma Thurman) is a female assassin, a trained killer who has been betrayed by The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad led by her former boss Bill (David Carradine) who gunned her down at her wedding, leaving her for dead. The Bride wakes up four years later and sets out to begin her quest for vengeance. With the help of one of Bill's former tutors, retired sword-maker Hattori Hanzo (Sonny Chiba), The Bride sets out to eliminate the first two targets on her list: Vernita Green (Vivica Fox), who has retired from the Deadly Viper Assassin Squad and has a daughter and O-Ren Ishii (Lucy Liu), who is now the kingpin of the Tokyo criminal underworld and leader of the "Crazy 88" crime gang.

WTF? Kill Bill flicks are about Uma Thurman!! DC has EXTREMELY minimal roles in both volumes! And to rerun each of them? WTF? John Griffin is obviously focusing on the ass end of DC's great career to think this counts as a good tribute to DC. Fuckin' dumbass! And "Kung Fu Killer" ??? Please! He only put that in the tribute to sponser Spike's Original Movie. What an ass JG is being over this. DC deserves WAY BETTER!!!

That's it? When you think of Deavid Carradine you don't think of Kill Bill. I agree with New Kill.

Lol, Are they serious? There's more to David Carradine than some fucking Kill Bill movies. Death Race, Safari 3000, Lone Wolf McQuade, although he was a bad guy he was still great. This is a blasphemy to Carradine. Fuck Spike tv!
