Rick Fox has signed on to star as a guest on the drama series, Dirt for FX.

The former Los Angeles Laker, who's lately become a saught-after actor, will portray a star basketball player, however, he will not be playing himself on the show, says The Hollywood Reporter. His character is described as a high-profile basketball player who has marital problems.

Dirt stars Courteney Cox as the editor of a tabloid magazine; FX has ordered a full 13-episode season for the show; look for the show to begin production next month for an early 2007 premiere date.
