Del Shores Productions and Funny Boy Films are teaming up on the stage adaptation, Southern Baptist Sissies; Del Shores will direct.

Leslie Jordan and Delta Burke have signed on to star, notes Variety; the play and movie portrays four boys' experiences growing up gay in the Baptist Church. Other cast members from the play are attached to the film; they include Beth Grant, Rosemary Alexander, Scott Presley, Rich Delia and Newell Alexander.

Filming on Southern Baptist Sissies is scheduled to begin in the spring.
