IESB has learned Steven Spielberg is "in active negotiations" to get his hands on the immensely popular
Halo game franchise to resuscitate the deceased movie. Read below for an excerpt from their article:
IESB has learned exclusively (believe me this is solid and I've confirmed it three times over with studio executives and our close ties to CAA) that one of the biggest producers in Hollywood history is currently in active negotiations to develop the feature film adaptation and no it's not Jerry Bruckheimer or Peter Jackson. It's the man behind Jaws, E.T., Indiana Jones and Transformers, Mr. Steven Spielberg.
Spielberg is blown away by writer Stuart Beattie's take on the game in his script entitled HALO THE FALL OF REACH. This coupled with the fact that his Dreamworks umbrella is looking for a big tent pole to help launch their newly independant studio with distribution over at Walt Disney Pictures after losing Transformers to Paramount in the separation, it's the perfect combination.
Also, Spielberg is a huge gaming fan. His prodigal star Shia LaBeouf has been quoted talking about Spielberg being stuck on the 15th level of BioShock recently.
Recently, sites have been reporting that the HALO project is completely dead after it halted under the guidance of Peter Jackson and director Neil Blomkamp with 20th Century Fox distributing.

to find out more.
Halo was to be released in 2008 based on the popular Microsoft videogame. In the game, Master Chief, the last Spartan, and a brave band of human soldiers risk everything to halt the terrifying Covenant onslaught.

Vis,seems as if yu think with your ass as seen from your lame-ass comment.
I'm pulling my hair out since I do the same thing with my books.
The only game in the series that was Teen was Halo Wars, and that was a real time strategy game so it doesn't count lol
I bet you're wondering what I did, I did three TV pilots that were scrapped since they were really bad and there were rip off's of TV shows.
One was live action and the other two were cartoon. The studio got in heaps of trouble since they were copying other shows. then I was asked to do a film which was not made. I forget the title.
I was bitter for years until 1995. In 93 I found out that my agent died, but I rather not go back into it.
As of lately I do wish I was an actor, but fate changes people. As you can see I've have become an author and writer, my second book is done I'm trying to weed out all the mistakes.
One day I'll be back on top but not as an actor.
I would rather be behind the scenes now.
Enter the entertainment field or become a writer, it's a lot more fill fulling. Unless you like retail which I don't.
I doubt I'm the only one ;)
And to defend G.I. Joe from mikehd. Everyone in my theater was laughing at the jokes and seemed okay (I like to eavesdrop). Most of the things I heard were about Storm Shadow and his ending in the film (trying not to give out spoilers). Yes some cliche things here and there and some cheesy dialogue but I mean, the cartoons were much worse lol. NO ONE EVER DIED IN THE CARTOONS. EVER! But you didn't care when you were a kid neither did I. Just cause you've grown up and things don't fool you as easy doesn't mean that movie sucked. I was actually impressed with it for how much negative hype it had before I actually watched it. I had a few minor gripes about the film but overall I give it a B- . I actually liked it MORE than Transformers 2 mainly because I wasn't asking a million questions after like I did with T2.
You have to play Gears of War to appreciate it. It's multiplayer experience (the first one not the 2nd game) pretty much ruined any other multiplayer game for me. Call of Duty titles are the only other game I can play online that don't bore me. If you play and get into Gears 1 multiplayer, you will most likely dislike Halo. Halo is the kiddy version of Gears. After you have curbstomped alien creatures and chainsawed them, what cool stuff can you do in Halo? Sticky grenade? That's it? Sniping was the coolest in Halo, when you shot them they'd spin around and fall. In Gears, you shoot their head and it pops like a zit and sounds like a somebody smashing a melon of some sort lol. It's very satisfying. Halo is an everyone game and you can kill people easily. Gears is a little more of a skill game (mainly because there is no crosshair) so you have to aim wisely and play as a team. The only downsides to Gears is random minor glitches and lag (since they don't have servers like CoD or Halo). Gears 2 is the one of the top 4 best looking games next to Mass Effect, the new Fight Night, and Elder Scrolls Oblivion. I'd say #1 with Gears 2 and Mass Effect at #2 or vice versa but a very close call regardless. Gears 2 is overhyped so I understand why you were weirded out by the fanboys lol. I'm a huge fan of Gears but the 2nd game's muliplayer was altered way too much. The 2nd game's campaign was much better and one of the funnest campaigns I've played. BioShock is better than both story wise, and has great graphics at times, and I've never heard anyone actually disliking that game.
The funny thing about Halo for me is that, everyone seems to want this to be R. But I don't get it, the games aren't even violent so why would this be rated R? You see what maybe some blue blood patterns from the covenant next to their bodies? And it's the same with the marines. It's almost faded blood stains. It's lame. You snipe people but no heads come off. You throw a grenade at somebody and they just fly into the air? lol. R... lmao what the hell are you guys smoking? Gears of War IS R. BioShock is R. Dead Space is R. Call of Duty and Halo have almost the same amount of violence which is hardly none since nothing is graphic. Yeah you shoot people, but there is no gore nada. That's a PG-13 movie only.
