USA Network Picks Up 8th Season of Monk

Tony Shaloub is coming back for his 8th and final year as Monk. According to Variety, the USA Network has ordered sixteen more episodes of the character drama.

Shaloub will return as the brilliant detective with obsessive-compulsive disorder sometime next year. The series scored its best ratings yet with its seventh season, drawing in 7.6 million watchers. Hopefully, the 8th season will continue to build on that.

Executively produced by David Hoberman, Andy Breckman, Randy Zisk, Tom Scharpling and Shalhoub, the series does not have a set return date at this time.
