Few superhero television shows have enjoyed the kind of success that the WB's
Smallville has. The show about a young Clark Kent has been a hit for the CW since it's creation. While at Comic-Con, we had the chance to go one-on-one with Allison Mack (Chloe Sullivan) and Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow) and the new villains Sam Witwer (Davis Bloome/Doomsday) and Cassidy Freeman (Tess), where the four of them teased us with some details about Season Eight. Smallville airs Thursday nights on the CW. The drama about the early days of Clark Kent stars Tom Welling, Erica Durance, Allison Mack, Aaron Ashmore and Justin Hartley.

It is only right for Lex and Lana to leave, if you know the mythology. Lana doesn't stay his love forever. When Clark accepts his "destiny," he leaves Lana behind and moves to Metropolis and is after Lois. Lex also moves to Metropolis and takes over his father's company, hence LEXCORP. I haven't seen the latest episodes of season 7 yet, but I know where they left off.
There's no way Lex dies, he'll def come back in Season 8 but he's not part of the main story anymore and neither is Lana, they are old news. Yes Lex is the main villain for Supes but Clark is not Supes yet. Lex comes back into play once Superman first makes his appearance known in Metropolis, and that will be after Smallville.
Of course, something has to happen in order for Lex to NOT REMEMBER all that has happened... Clark is Kal-El, Fortress, etc. And Chloe must die in Season 8. There's no other way. She must die before the show ends.
Smallville has actually been a good series the last few seasons. I didn't really care for the teeny bopper 90210 aspect that was dragging down the show forever. But since they have finally come to terms with the 'super' part of things the entire show has become worth watching. With each character we have seen a new take. None of them follow the exact comic version, but instead we get a developed character that is not one dimensional.
I hope the quasi-rumor is true and that this will be the final season with Clark picking up the cape and they start a new series from the same clothe about Superman or the Justice League.
At least we might get to see Clark use his powers more this season, and finally no more Lana loves me, she loves me not. Be there done that since season 1, time to move on.
i thought they might have saved him for the man of steel
and as for human aspects connected to him wtf??
