EXCLUSIVE: Will There Be a Lost Boys 3?

This is the way it works. The Tribe was set to go straight to DVD straight from the get go so it has nothing to do with the quality of the film itself. My theory at this point, after watching the movie today, is the third movie has been setup. Basically the third one will be what the second one shoulda been (now try to follow me here). The reason why I say this is because Warner Bros. wants to establish a larger following and by basically by remaking the first one (I'm sorry but at the end of the day thats what they did) so now The Tribe will grab a younger audience's attention. This movie was worth watching just to see Haim and Feldman on screen again together, and when Warner Bros. realizes this then they'll realize that the original audience will shit when the trailer's for the 3rd one has Haim, Feldman and Newlander in it as Vampires! So basically now it all depends on Warner Bros. definition of success for their straight to DVD close to none promoting film, which can't be much. If they think a younger audience will wanna see it because of LB2: The Tribe and the original audience will wanna see it because of Feldman, Haim and Newlander then to them that will equal success. Plus they'll probably release it to the theaters. Lost Boys 2: The Tribe was all in all a way to test the audiences reaction, and depending on that there's a very good chance it could happen. But maybe I'm giving Warner Bros. way too much credit, afterall they are the whole reason why Goonies 2 has been held up for so long (and yeah I think maybe The Tribe was a small test for that too... for christ sakes the Aunt in The Tribe held up the DVD. I mean come on! It's kinda like saying "Hey younger dumbasses, if you haven't seen one of the best movie's ever go watch it so that when or if we spend money to make a second one you'll wanna go see it!"). Oh and it also depends on if Haim completely fucked up his relationship with Warner Bros. If you don't know what I mean then watch that episode of The Two Coreys when he all but ended his career on the Lost Boys 2 set.

just saw lost boys 2. coery haim is in it. but at the very end after a lil bit of credits. very surprising!! best part of the movie! the movie itself was decent. corey f didnt mention much about why he's brother (frog brother) wasnt there. only mentioned that his brother was a bloodsucker.

I for one am not up for them making this into a tv show series. reasons are "Blade" and "Tremors" for examples were turned into shows with different people and it was disappointing. But i personally am interested in this film. Even everyone in this film said "We're not trying to make this like the third one in a sense because the 1st was a masterpiece and ended on the best terms." they're simply making their own futuristic version because the first was fun to make, that explains the original characters. and b/c its a different film is why they put it on dvd. They didn't want stupid people going into the theaters and expecting to see a identical sequel to the 1st!

I think Corey Feldman is sooo full of himself! He isnt that damn hot he is a has been from the 80's and needs to quit thinking the is all that. I did like him from a fans standpoint but after seeing the real piece of crap he can be i cant stand the kid or his stupid wife that controls everything he cant even have a thought without that nosey controlling b..tch. I believe she is jealous of her husband having a life or should i say just a little space without HER. They both need to grow up!!!

i get your point about it being an insult to the first, but the first was mighty cheese-filled too.
with the exception to keifer sutherland and jason patrick, pretty much everyone in that movie was a big ol' ham, hamming it up for the camera.

Sorry, but the second one that's coming out looks like an insult to the first. It looks cheesey. If it is, then I hope there is no 3. But if it's god then, amybe, but i din't think so!

personally, while i am all-in for the sequal, i cant gurantee any interest in a third... but knowing myself as well as i do, i would almost certainly end up watching it eventually, bong in hand.

even though we're all gonna watch lost boys2 purely for the camp and b-movie value, the fact of the matter is they sell a large number of units then a lost boys 3 will be green lit.

so if you want to avoid this scenario then wait a couple weeks after it is released and buy a used copy so that your purchase wont be registered by the executives keeping an eye on profit margins.

Lost Boys 2 and now talk of a 3rd? Truly pathetic!!! It went staigtht to DVD for a reason. It sucks. If any of you think this will be even close to the 1st one, you are sadly mistaken.

I for one am looking forward to The Lost Boys: The Tribe, and will most likely be fully into them making a third The Lost Boys. I think the idea of a television show is also a great idea.

lost boy tv show is actually a pretty good idea, now i havent seen the 2nd one cuz i was never into the idea in the first place but i could tell that i didnt miss much but i dnt think that part 3 will b a good idea

ed_wood & marcusx said that it should be a TV show. That's not a bad idea. Especially with Buffy and Angel off the air. It should be pitched to The CW. With the successes of Smallville, Supernatural, and Reaper, I think it will fall in great.
