Michael Bay Discussing Transformers 3 Story Ideas

Source:  MichaelBay.com
Director Michael Bay's official website received a little update from a guy named Nelson who spoke with Bay about his upcoming projects. Here are the updates.

- He will be meeting later this week with Steven Spielberg, and Ehren Kruger to discuss ideas for Transformers 3. By the end of the week he should have an idea if Transformers 3 will hit your local cineplex in the summer of 2011 or 2012.
- In the meantime "Pain & Gain" is looking very possible as is...
- ...Bad Boys 3. Either film coming to a theater near you before or after Transformers 3.

We'll certainly keep you posted if any story details on Transformers 3 or any of Bay's other projects come to light.

Yeah Bay stated in an article a while back that Transformers 3 will definately not be in 3D, he finds it a scam and that he doesn't need 3D to make his movie entertaining because let's face it they already are.
He also stated on the production cost on how difficult and time-consuming it would also be to make Transformers 3D, which is something he doesn't believe worth in doing, because Transformers is as entertaining as it comes, there is no use for 3D.

Does anybody have any info about the rumor stating Transformers 3 will be in 3D?

Translation: "nothing new to report, just letting you know Michael Bay has thought about something since TF2 other than quick retorts to Megan Fox's never-ending verbal jabs."

I heard there might be three more made after the third installment is released. Plus Shia signed a contract stating his character will be the central character for three films and then only small supporting or cameo roles in the next films.

And now is that overrated? What are they gonna do, ANOTHER fight between Megatron and Optimus even though Optimus won 2 out of 3? We've seen it already. Are you saying you wouldn't like a giant city wide battle (not just a few transformers and a dozen of soldiers)? I'm talking all the decepticons vs all the autobots. The showdown. I'm assuming this is the last film, so why not go out with a bang? Bay's greatest strength is his action scenes. They are bad ass. Are you denying that? I also said make it like the first film. So what bullshit am I needing to quit exactly? You kinda jumped the gun there.

Predators, I said get rid of the ridiculous shit that wasn't needed. There doesn't need to be sex jokes or half naked robot chicks (which doesn't even really make sense anyway) in Transformers. It's pointless. I like sexual stuff but it does NOT belong in a movie about giant robots lol. It's unrealistic already, but the 2nd movie's plot was beyond attempting to have it be somewhat realistic, at least the first movie didn't have holes in it.

Can't wait for Newkill, Delgren, and mikehd to talk shit about Bay on here... just a matter of time lol.

Anyway, as long as the film is good like the 1st one, I'm content. Get rid of all the bullshit that wasn't needed in the 2nd film. Keep the awesome action scenes since Bay does those best. We need more Transformers and less "real life" bullshit. Have an actual war this time, between a shit load of transformers. Not just 5 or 6 on each side. That would top any scene in either film. One huge fight. It would be epic. You know it, I know it, Bay should know it lol. Have a somewhat understandable and not over the top silly plot this time around. It could be simple and still make sense, not some random pyramid with ultimate destruction power in Egypt lol. Makes no sense. That's like them having the ultimate weapon be inside the statue of liberty or something. So corny.

Michael Bay should only direct movies like Grand Theft Auto: cars, ladies, sex jokes and curses... It's basically a Bay movie.

good news. hopefully it will focus more on the robots and less on sam and makayla. that is what the story is REALLY about, the robots. and hopefully the fight scenes will be a little less chaotic and easier to focus on. maybe we'll be a little more in depth with the characters this time, like in the first one so you actually get to know the characters. some of the robots in pt 2 were there just for show or just to die and you really didnt get to know who any of them were.
but still this is good news. i like these movies and bay is still the best action guy out there. looking forward to BB3 also.

you bring out good points, and thank u cb junior, for supporting ,my title, cause i think the new story should go directly to their home planet, i do believe that galvatron should emerge, and that unicron should make a one shot one kill one awesome performance if he is brought. i loved the second movie a lot regardless of its bad rep, and i agree with one fact, JOLT Sideswipe and the motorcross robots...like really...next time, give them an entrace wioth a background and at least a 5 minute conversation. i want starscream to actually dominate megatron/galvatron for a change and i want longer lasting battles but with less fillers

I also agree with the dark complex story, And with J.A. that starscream needs to be bad-ass, and that Jon Voight should return. Also I would like to see Anthony Anderson return too, along with some of the other characters in the first one that disappeared.

I can't stand that new computer animated Transformers Armada (I think), with that lame wacky Japanese translated dialog. The inflections are so rapid fire weird and reactions of character to character are so alienating and odd. I got turned off of it really quick, and I was originally pumped for it.

I'll stick with the regular animated Generations 1 and 2.

i agree with the dark complex story. In the treatment i'm rewriting, i've made Starscream a bad ass mofo.
I'm sorry he needs to turn into a bad motherfucker now, and Unicron and Galvatron need to enter.
But before i head on to the 2nd redrafted treatment to complete it i'm watching the show 'cybertron' 'energon' and 'armada.'

LOL what can i say Fallen i'm a workaholic.
I'll only continue with a project if i know the studio i'm writing it for are interested in it, in which i've received feedback from Platinum Dunes that they are interested, but who knows i guess only time will tell.

Yes JonSpidey07, Unicron would be awesome.

And like Junior says, no more humor.

Bawnianxyz, I think that's a great title for the third Transformers- "Tranasformers: War of Cybertron". I have had a list of some random ideas I had for Transformers 3 on my profile. I know they don't matter, but I felt like putting them up there anyway.
One of the things on my list was about a showdown on another planet.
And yes, I DO think that Bay can redeem himself after Revenge of the Fallen. He just needs to keep the bullshit humor OUT, bring in dark and complex story elements that make you care about what happens to the characters and how the plot progresses , kill off some unneccesary characters(but if they are going to bring in more unneccesary characters, at least bring Jon Voight back), and give us an intrigueing villain.
I'm serious about this , too, because I NEVER curse in my comments!
