Poltergeist Remake Hits Theaters November 24, 2010
August 13th, 2009
In a story from ShockTillYouDrop.com it seems that the remake of Tobe Hooper's classic shocker, Poltergeist, will finally see the light of day.MGM has picked November 24, 2010 which also happens to be Thanksgiving weekend to release the film.
The remake will be directed Vadim Perelman (House of Sand and Fog). The film has gone through a long development process but it looks like, even though no cast or shooting dates have been announced, this project is ready to go.
Poltergeist is the story of a suburban home built over an Indian burial ground and thus inhabited by a nasty spook. It earned further cult status when two of the child actors in the movie died after the film's release. Two sequels were produced.
