Terry Kinney Comes Aboard The Mentalist

Source:  The Hollywood Reporter
In a story from The Hollywood Reporter Terry Kinney has been cast in a recurring role on CBS' The Mentalist.

The actor is set to be in seven episodes of the Warner Bros. TV-produced series' second season. He will play Agent Sam Bosco, a normal looking police officer with a hidden amount of shrewdness.

Bosco will run the California Bureau of Investigation's Serial Crimes Unit. He is brought in to help solve the case of the Red John serial killer. His victims include the wife and daughter of CBI's Patrick Jane (Simon Baker). Bosco's by-the-book approach is something Jane finds hard to work with.

Further complicating things is the fact that Bosco was Teresa Lisbon's (Robin Tunney) boss at one point. Apparently, something from the past hangs over their current relationship.
