Vin Diesel Talks Third Chronicles of Riddick Movie!

I don't think Dark Fury counts technically, since there was no theatrical release of it. That's like an extra apendage lol.

I'm psyched, but if you wanna be technical, this is the fourth one. :) Don't forget "The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury!" lolz... Animated, but still part of the series, nonetheless.. :P

I enjoyed these movies alot. I have to agree with Comrade. No one really else can play that charecter. Vin Disel did a great job and I cant really see any one else playing the role of Riddick. Im looking forward to this.

I had no idea that there were several Riddick stories out there when I saw Pitch Black for the first time. I remember thinking someone should really come up with some more stories for this guy, he's a great character. Little did I know I would get my wish. As long as the story is good, keep em coming. Also, I may not be a huge fan of Vin, but I can't imagine the series without him, he just does a great job as Riddick.

Riddick was unknown when Pitch Black came out. I thought he was a complete bad ass. The only reason why people dislike him is because of those who hated Fast and the Furious. I like him regardless, like Comrade said, he IS Riddick, and Riddick is a cool character. He is a murderer but like Atreus said, a anti-hero type. I thought Pitch Black was better than the 2nd, but I liked the 2nd one as well. The Escape From Butcher's Bay was one of the best original xbox games. Actually, if I do recall, it won the game of the year in many magazines etc. It's pretty obvious he is interesting enough to be in the movie or game industry so bring on the 3rd and fuck the haters.

This would be awesome, Deisels portrayal of Riddick is quite good. no more of that dumb anime shit though!!!

I enjoyed the hell out of Chronicles of Riddick and it actually had a story that they could've spent even more time on. I'll agree with just about everyone on this thread... even ComradeHenson, j/k. Riddick is Vin's character, period.

Many people did not like the Chronicles of Riddick movie - yet I really enjoyed it. Riddick makes such an interesting anti-hero (or perhaps reluctant hero), and it is a unique and artfully crafted science fiction universe. Having played the games and seen all the media, I am hoping they will make this new addition to the series.

oh and see i had a heard a rumor that riddick was going to played by anton yelchin.

Excellent! It's about time that we finally had an update for the third film. I must say, the second movie had me begging for the third to come out. I must see what Riddick accomplishes with his new Necromonger army! :-P

This role is right for diesel, only because the Riddick character is plain. And the first to movies were atrocious. so maybe they both should be together.

Diesel is Riddick. This is his character, no one else can play him. He's no Lawrence Olivier, but he has a niche, and he fills it well.

I'm very excited to see this.

Sounds good but then they brought Diesel's name in and it just killed everything. Let someone else play Riddick. Diesel is the most dry, lame actor there ever was.

loved the first 2, didnt get into the game enough, but welcome the 3rd movie!
