Joss Whedon Eyes Ripper for the BBC

Source:  Home Media Magazine
Joss Whedon is returning to the small screen and he has a remnant of Buffy up his sleeve.

In a story from Home Media Magazine, Whedon hopes to create Ripper, "a 90-minute movie for the BBC."

The project would see "Anthony Stewart Head reprising his role as Rupert Giles," which is the same role he played in the immensely popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Set in England, we would now see Buffy's mentor in the spotlight as he dealt with various forms of "magic and the supernatural."

Should this happen, it would most likely surface in the U.S. on home video.

In addition to this, "Whedon also is busy preparing a 12-issue comic book follow-up to the Buffy spinoff Angel, called Angel: After the Fall, which would flesh out storylines conceived for the show's abortive first season."

Whedon "also expressed excitement for the comic book Buffy continuation with which he remains actively involved."

"I do know when season eight ends," Whedon states. "But I also know what happens in season nine."

Lastly, "he and former Buffy writer Drew Goddard have written a horror movie called Cabin in the Woods, which Whedon described as 'the horror film to end all horror films, literally.'"

Why can't anyone explain WHERE Whedon said Cabin in the Woods would be "the horror film to end all horror films, literally"???
