Roland Emmerich has recruited yet another to go into the future... a whole four years. According to
MTV Movies Blog, Woody Harrelson has revealed he has joined the cast of
2012.
"I don't know why they thought of me," Harrelson chuckled. "But I like the idea."
The film revolves around the ancient Mayan calendar that suggests the world will end on December 21, 2012. Harrelson will portray a prophetic character that no one believes.
"I play a guy who's been talking for a long time, the whole world thinks he's crazy," Harrelson said of his character. "But he's been talking that there's gonna be hell to pay for what's been going on ecologically and everything."
The film, written and directed by Roland Emmerich, also stars John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Thomas McCarthy and Chin Han. Production will begin soon in Vancouver with the film slated for a 2009 release.

its funny when someone tells woody to "act" crazy, because the guy is friggin nuts to begin with.
it would be a stretch for him to act sane.
anyway this cast is looking good.
im down for this, although emerich's movies have been hit or miss in my opinion.
