NBC to Cancel The Bionic Woman

Source:  TV Guide
NBC is preparing to cancel Jason Cahill's The Bionic Woman after only one season. According to TV Guide:

Although NBC isn't talking, I'm told by multiple sources that Bionic staffers were informed late last week that the troubled reboot has indeed been canceled. That means no spring relaunch under new show-runner Jason Cahill - which is too bad. Cahill's a talented guy (see: The Sopranos), and I was anxious to see what he would do with the show. But I guess it wasn't meant to be.

NBC has not officially announced the future status of The Bionic Woman.

Editboy, what are you upset about? News being "new or old" is relative to those who are hearing/reading it.

I, for one, had not heard it...and not that I really care about it anyway...just commenting.

Geez...there seems to be some serious issues with "new and old" info on some of these comments.

Monday - 9:00 AM Breaking News - "Transformers 2 is being shot in Nevada."

Monday - 9:10 AM Movieweb reports - "Transformers 2 is being shot on location, in Nevada"

Monday - 9:20 AM Movieweb user comments - "WTF!!! This news is 20 minutes OLD!!! GIMME A FRIGGIN BREAK!!!

;)

O.K. this news is WAY OLD! They had already stated the show was done some time ago.

That's like saying "Oh by the way has anyone heard of some new show coming up called...oh what is it...oh yeah, "The Sarah Connor Chronicles". Did that start already? I wonder if it's going to be good." Give me a break.

Bring on "The Six Million Dollar Man" and "Bionic Woman" original series DVD's finally, huh?! Where are those?!

I saw about five minutes of the show...and will never get that five minutes back in my life again.

Dammit.

Well, I don't think that it was the "girl power" shit that was the problem. I'd watch 18 seasons of buffy if it was still on.

The problem was that the show just wasn't good enough. I liked it for a couple episodes, but then I just never went back to it.

Put on an all-female cast, for all I care. Just entertain me and give me a reason to stick around.

"sucked air" thats funny.

i only saw two minutes of the first episode, where the bionic biatch is running alongside a train and a little girl sees her doing it and tells her mom, and mom calls her a liar, and the kid says "i just thought it was cool that a girl could do that", and i threw up all over myself and cried tears of blood.

that girl power shit just doesnt appeal to me, and since most sci-fi fans are male maybe the producers should have considered that that corny ass shit wouldnt sell.
