The wait is finally over. The Weinstein Company has set a June 29th release date for the new healthcare scare documentary
Sicko. It is Michael Moore's first film since
Fahrenheit 9/11.
The film takes a look at how horrible our healthcare system is here in America. According to
Variety, Lionsgate will be partnering with the Weinsteins on the release of the film. They did the same thing three years ago when they partnered up for Moore's last film.
Harvey Weinstein stated, "I've seen this movie with Republicans and Democrats, and this is one time Michael has sort of unified everyone. The health care industry might not have a very good July Fourth."
Sicko will open against the Disney film
Ratatouille and Fox's
Live Free or Die Hard, as well as Frank Oz's limited release film
Death at a Funeral.
