yeah that sounds like the syndication game to me.
ive seen episodes with a tail end to a scene added in, or cut out for whatever reason.

like theres a scene they show as being edited out, in the 128th episode spectacular, referencing an episode i have seen air after work one day with that scene in tact, so sometimes they cut that shit in, i guess.

but ive also noticed a line or two, like in the hullabaloo epsisode, in the original airing theres a scene with otto on acid where says "man my shoes are talking to me" and they show from his perspective, hes definitely on acid, but then if you see the syndicate version that line was edited out.

It's 20 seasons. They started the series the year I was born.

Not in the dvd's (well I never whatched the Simpson dvd's) but on the shows they air on tv. Like say the dvd season is release, well some shows have touch ups on them. Like stuff that wasn't there befor but is now because of the dvd release. But this is just based on shows that the dvd has been released already...

because i know that when syndicated episodes air, sometimes theyll cut out a line here and there, either to save time or to censor it.

I don't know if it's just me, and this might be because of the dvd's, but I've notice new changes into some old episodes. Nothing major or anything like that, but just little bits and pieces of the Simpson add-on and stuff....

...do you mean, 20th season? the one that might not even ever finish. fox doesnt want to pay their voice actors enough money. so we might see the end nearing.

........ because the Simpsons are already on the 22nd or 23rd season already.
