It was dropped into news stories such as the one we reported
here that Hugh Keays-Byrne would be a part of the cast of George Miller's
Justice League of America, but what wasn't mentioned was what role the actor would play. Well, according to
Ain't It Cool News, Keays-Byrne is set to play the role of the Martian Manhunter, J'onn J'onzz (it's pronounced John Jones).
In the comics, J'onn is the heart and soul of the Justice League. The last survivor of the planet Mars, the Martian Manhunter is a telepathic shapeshifter with enough raw power to nearly be the equal to Superman himself.
Keays-Byrne is probably best known for his role of Toecutter in
Mad Max.
As with so many other details about
Justice League of America, it is not known at this time how large a role the Martian Manhunter will play in the final script, which is still expected to include such major DC Comics heroes as Superman, Batman, the Flash, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern.

This is a picture from another movie, bub.
This movie will suck, indominably.
Now, if they were taking things seriously, and trying to creat a JLA movie that does justice to the characters, Doug Jones would be the obvious first choice for MM.
ah i do think i'm funny!! haha
