While NBC had already
renewed one of its medical dramas, the other will be no more. According to
Variety, NBC has given the axe to
Trauma.
The series was absent from last week's pickups of
Community,
Parks and Recreation and fellow medical drama
Mercy, which never tends to bode well for a new series. The series will cease production after its initial 13-episode order is completed.
The move is somewhat attributed to
Parenthood, which was forced to move to midseason after actress Maura Tierney fell ill and the network was forced to air two medical dramas in the same season, moving
Mercy up from a midseason slot.
It wasn't clear when or how the network would air the remaining episodes of
Trauma.

Mercy deserved the pickup. It's a well written show with believable and well rounded characters. Well, believable except for the fact that they're all friggin beautiful, both the men and women.
this is what happens when the marketing doesnt work and a show is not advertised enough
